Songs of the South: Bagpipes and Banjos
|
|
Winner! Vintage Album of the Year by Southern Heritage Music Awards 2007
Many songs of the American South came from Scotland
and Ireland with the immigrants of the 1700's and 1800's.
The tunes were kept and new words were written. On this album
Carl Peterson sings these songs, as well as some truly
American songs, accompanied by the cross-cultural sounds of
bagpipes and banjos.
